With two weeks before 2026 Spring Training camps start in earnest, teams continue to finalize their roster plans. Osvaldo Bido is back in the AL West, as the Angels claimed him off waivers. Plus, Dylan Carlson and Cam Booser became the latest to find new homes before February.

Angels claim Bido

The Angels become the latest team that have acquired Osvaldo Bido this winter. Los Angeles (AL) acquired the right-hander on January 27 after he was claimed off waivers from the Marlins.

This is the fifth team that Bido has been with this winter. He started with the Athletics, then was acquired by the Braves, Rays, and Marlins throughout the current offseason.

Minor League signings

Here’s a look at notable Minor League signings that became official over the last two days:

Ryan Borucki will look to make a White Sox bullpen that already has several left-handers. The same can be said for Cam Booser, who pitched for the White Sox in 2025. Booser signed a Minor League deal with the Rays.

Dylan Carlson slashed .203/.278/.336 with six home runs last season with the Orioles.

Additionally, we noted that Hector Neris & Aaron Sanchez signed Minor League deals with the Royals. Both Neris and Sanchez received non-roster invites to big league camp.

Other moves

The Yankees claimed former Mets farmhand Dom Hamel from the Texas Rangers. Additionally, New York (AL) designated Marco Luciano and Jayvien Sandridge for assignment.

Minnesota traded catcher Jhonny Pereda to the Mariners for cash. The Twins had three catchers on the 40-man roster aside from Pereda before the trade: Victor Caratini, Alex Jackson, and Ryan Jeffers. Seattle, meanwhile, had two: Cal Raleigh and Andrew Knizner.

The Nationals outrighted pitcher Andry Lara to Triple-A Rochester.
