On November 18, Sony released the Retro Finest Program in MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty. It includes five new 99 OVR Retro Finest cards, items dedicated to players who excelled in previous campaigns. Among the players who receive a new 99 OVR are Paul Goldschmidt, Gary Sheffield, and Andrew Miller.

How to make progress

Now, here’s a look at the tasks for the Retro Finest Program:

  • Complete 10 Moments (50 pts. – 10 pts. each)
  • Program PXP Missions:
    • Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Justin Turner (10 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Gary Carter (10 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Paul Goldschmidt (10 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Garry Sheffield (10 pts.)
    • Tally 1,000 PXP with Retro Finest Series players (10 pts.)
  • Stat Missions:
    • Tally six extra-base hits with primary third basemen (10 pts.)
    • Tally 10 hits with primary catchers (10 pts.)
    • Tally four home runs with primary first basemen (10 pts.)
    • Tally five extra-base hits with primary left fielders (10 pts.)
    • Tally 14 strikeouts with RP/CP (10 pts.)

All can be completed within single-player and multiplayer game modes, excluding Showdown.

Given that this program was released in November, it should be easy to complete. It is, for the most part, as it can be done passively without needing to do any of the Moments.

However, be mindful that the Finest Series PXP Mission does not include 2025 Finest cards as eligible cards. Retro Finest cards like the ones found in this program, as well as 99 OVR Jose Bautista, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Headley, Jason Kipnis, Jason Varitek, Joc Pederson, and 98 OVR Robb Nen are among eligible players.
