This coming March, Com2Us and OOTP Developments will release Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) 27, the latest installment in the baseball sim franchise. The new game will have some UI changes, plus new difficulty settings and advanced analytics.

What is the release date for OOTP 27?

Out of the Park Baseball 27 will release worldwide on March 13, 2026.

Pre-orders of the game come with the final beta version of OOTP 27, which releases on March 10.

Price

The full game is $49.99 USD at launch. Those who pre-order via the website (Steam pre-order not available) will receive a 10% discount, bumping it down to $44.99.

Additionally, there will be a one-week 10% discount that’ll run after the game releases on Steam.

New features

One of the most notable points that OOTP Developments touted in the release announcement was the fact that new data points will be shown throughout the game. These points include advanced analytics, including Barrel%, exit velocities, xwOBA, and Whiff%, among other stats.

These will be reflected in the redesigned player page.

The World Baseball Classic is also back for OOTP 27. This was originally added in 26. However, one new feature is that the authentic teams and schedule will be featured in the title.

Difficulties have also received an overhaul. The development team stated that it has changed the trade model. On top of that, the AI settings have been changed, adding a new difficulty setting. The higher the difficulty, the harder it will be to woo players from other teams, and there is an increased likelihood that coaches will be hired away.

Players can also have a cap on the number of trades & free agents that can be signed.

In-game viewing has also been updated, per the development team. Dynamic weather conditions will be shown throughout the viewing portion of baseball sim games.

As for what will return, Perfect Team will be back for 2026. The developers’ relationship with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, as well as the KBO, Honkbal Hoofdklasse (Netherlands), and British Baseball Federations, has also carried over for OOTP 27.

UI changes

As noted above, there will be UI changes.

Aside from the player card changes, the schedule page has been tweaked. Now, a card that showcases team records and probable pitchers is also on the page.
