Marlins starter Jesus Luzardo has been sharp since returning from the IL in May. Luzardo has recorded at least 17 outs in each of his last four starts, dating back to May 11 against the Phillies.
Luzardo will face a Rays team with good right-handed hitters in Isaac Paredes and Yandy Diaz, and others who’ve yet to get hot. Tampa enters the day 16th in the league in wRC+ (100) against left-handed hitters.
Speaking of wRC+, the Yankees, led by Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, are first in the Majors in that category (130) against right-handed pitching. New York will face Bailey Ober, who surrendered five or more earned runs in two of his last three, at Yankee Stadium on June 4.
Ober owns a 4.89 ERA on the season.
