Well, we’ve made it (or, we’re close to making it). It’s Week 13 of the 2025 fantasy baseball season, one where many MLB teams will reach the halfway marker in the year. It’s been a tough year on the injury front, and for those in need of help, I think we can be of assistance. Here’s a look at five fantasy hitters to target on the waiver wire as we reach Week 13.

Best Week 13 hitters to target

Now that nearly three months have passed, you’re not going to find big surprises often — except in the instance of a big-name prospect to be promoted.

However, what you find is former top prospects (and current ones, as well) finding their way at the MLB level.

One of those is Brooks Lee, the former first-round pick who’s found his groove as a regular with the Twins. Lee, a great contact hitter in college & the Minors, is hitting .362 in June and not to mention, has three home runs to his name, as well. In total, Lee (as of June 22) is hitting .274 with seven home runs.

Don’t expect a 20-home run campaign from Lee. However, he possesses a short swing (7.2” on average in 2025) and can get on balls quickly. Oh, and the extra power helps.

Two other prospects on hot streaks are Nick Kurtz & Cam Smith.

Kurtz has five home runs on the month, and given some of the shots he’s hit this year, expect more if he can stay healthy. Smith, meanwhile, is hitting .275 this month and, despite no home runs in May, has two on the month.

We’ll see where things go with Smith. There’s still plenty of power in his setup — he ranks in the 89th percentile in bat speed (75 MPH) — but he’s been hitting the ball more on the ground this year.

Jordan Beck, despite the Rockies’ tough season, remained a productive hitter this month. Beck picked up four extra-base hits in the last week, two of which were home runs. With nine stolen bases and 10 home runs, Beck has a shot at going 20-20 this year.

Lastly, J.P. Crawford has been an unsung hero for the Mariners. Yes, Cal Raleigh has been all the rage — and for good reason. Crawford, though, is in the midst of a good season himself.

Crawford is hitting .357 in June, and overall, his numbers are fine. The 30-year-old is hitting .291 with six home runs and 32 runs scored on the year.

His biggest asset is the eye, which has helped Crawford post a .407 OBP this season. He’s an ideal leadoff hitter for the Mariners, simply because of his ability to get on base. Which helps when it comes to scoring runs.

Overview of Week 12

No home runs for Giancarlo Stanton in his first week back. However, Stanton picked up six hits and an RBI over the week.

But realistically, you’re after the home runs with Stanton. Relax.

As for who hit home runs last week, Jo Adell — one of the players on our Week 12 list — popped three over the last week, continuing a torrid April.

Alejandro Kirk, not known for his power, hit two home runs for Toronto.
