With a chance to lock up the World Series on October 28, the Brewers enlisted Jacob Misiorowski to end it. Misiorowski lived up to the hype, although there was one thing that slowed him down: a cramp.

Misiorowski exits Game 5

Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski was removed from Game 5 of the 2026 World Series after 5.2 innings with cramping.

Misiorowski cruised through those 17 outs, as he allowed just two hits against the Rays. However, he was pulled after showing discomfort after his final pitch. After attempts to shake it out and hydrate, Misiorowski threw one warm-up before the team pulled him.

JoJo Romero replaced him.

Caminero was in lineup

Rays third baseman Junior Caminero, meanwhile, was in the Rays’ lineup for a must-win game.

Caminero was seen limping in the 12th inning of Game 4 after he ran from first to third. His foot was bothering him, and he was removed for pinch-runner Cedric Mullins during that contest.

Frelick took another ding

Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick was hit on the left wrist by Drew Rasmussen early in Game 5. That added another sore spot for Frelick, who’s been battling injury this season.

Frelick remained in the game.
