Milwaukee & the Dodgers continue to roll, as the two teams picked up yet another win on June 23 against their respective opponents. Plus, Jac Caglianone & the Royals had themselves a big night in St. Petersburg.

Brewers take fourth straight game

Brandon Sproat struck out 10 for the Brewers, as Milwaukee shut out the Reds 2-0. In the process, the Brewers won their fourth straight contest.

Brice Turang had two hits, while Jake Bauers and Andrew Vaughn each drove in runs.

Dodgers defeat Twins again

The Dodgers defeated the Twins 12-3 to take the first two games of the series in Minnesota.

Believe it or not, this was a tied game heading into the fourth. Tommy Edman played a role in both of Los Angeles’ first two runs scored, as he drove in one in the first and then reached on an error in the third on a play that saw Freddie Freeman score. However, a Victor Caratini home run and a Josh Bell single kept it even.

From the fourth onward, it was all Dodgers. Los Angeles’ scoring was highlighted by a five-run ninth inning. Alex Call, as part of that inning, hit his first homer of 2026.

Royals put up 12 in St. Pete

The Royals roughed up Shane McClanahan, Steven Matz, and the Rays, as Kansas City defeated Tampa 12-5.

Jac Caglianone hit two more home runs, the first of which hit the catwalks by the scoreboard in right field. Tyler Tolbert had three hits, while Nick Loftin picked up four.

Phillies notch comeback win

An eight-run ninth inning secured a 14-9 comeback victory for the Phillies on June 23.

After a Jorbit Vivas home run in the eighth, it looked like the Nationals were on the verge of victory. However, a two-run shot from Brandon Marsh and a three-run home run from Bryson Stott pulled Philadelphia ahead.

The scoring didn’t stop there, as Edmundo Sosa picked up a two-run double, and Trea Turner tallied an RBI, as well.

D-Backs score four in 9th to win

After gems from both starters, Eduardo Rodriguez and Kyle Leahy, the D-Backs and Cardinals combined to score seven runs in the ninth. But in the end, Arizona had enough to win.

Nolan Arenado broke the scoreless tie with a single against his old team. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drove in two with a single later on, and a passed ball made it 4-0. The Cardinals were able to get three to cut it to one in the ninth.
