With just one week before the start of All-Star weekend and Season 3 in MLB The Show 23, a new roster update went live on June 30. Several players received ratings upgrades in Diamond Dynasty, including two breakout stars in Corbin Carroll and Felix Bautista.

MLB The Show Roster Update for June 30
The latest MLB The Show 23 roster update included a number of notable upgrades and downgrades in Diamond Dynasty. Among those include major jumps for Orioles closer Felix Bautista and D-Backs superstar Corbin Carroll.
Bautista received a +3 OVR increase up to 89 OVR. It’s not all that shocking, given how well the O’s closer has pitched in 2023. The 26-year-old is fifth in the Majors in saves entering the day on June 30, and the hard-throwing right-hander has struck out an astronomical 78 batters over 38.2 innings pitched.
As for Carroll, his increase has been long overdue. The Diamondbacks outfielder is tied with Shohei Ohtani for fourth in the Majors in bWAR (3.8) and sixth in OPS (.926). Carroll is officially a Diamond, as he’s now an 87 OVR, up four from his previous rating of 83.
Other players that went Diamond in the latest update includes Framber Valdez (+1, 85 OVR), Kevin Gausman (+2, 85 OVR), an All-Star starter in Corey Seager (+3, 85 OVR), and Dodgers reliever Evan Phillips (+8, 86 OVR). Ronald Acuna Jr. (+1, 92 OVR) and Jose Ramirez (+1, 88 OVR) also received upgrades.
There were some downgrades, as well. Both Paul Goldschmidt (-2, 88 OVR) and Justin Verlander (-3, 87 OVR) have been pushed below 90 OVR, which will likely make the two much easier to obtain for those looking to collections done. J.T. Realmuto (-1, 84 OVR) has been pushed down to Gold status.
The roster update comes on the heels of a patch that went live on June 30.
