One component of Diamond Dynasty that was retained for MLB The Show 24 was Sets, which have been re-branded as Seasons. Much like MLB The Show 23, Season 1 of MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty came with special collection rewards that can be unlocked by obtaining cards specific to the season. Here’s a look at the rewards, plus tips on how to get them all.
Season 1 Collection Rewards in MLB The Show
First, here’s a look at the seven Season 1 collection rewards in MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty:

The 89 OVR Biggio will be unlocked when 30 cards from Season 1 are collected. To unlock 91 OVR Franco, 70 Season 1 cards are needed.
The 93 Aurilia, meanwhile, requires 120 Season 1 cards. 95 OVR Al Leiter requires 200 cards.
The three 99 OVR Cards come in Season 1 Collection Choice Packs. Those are unlocked at 280, 300, and 325 cards collected, respectively.
How to get Season 1 cards
Given that 325 cards are needed to get all three 99 OVR collection rewards in MLB The Show 24, the grind won’t be easy. And, we should note that since “power creep” is back, many Season 1 cards will be released over the coming weeks.
However, those who want to get a head start on the collection should do the following:
- Play Battle Royale and Ranked Seasons: There are exclusive Season 1 cards that can be unlocked just by making progress in the respective paths.
- Get XP for Season 1 Reward Path: There are many Season 1 cards in the reward path, including a 95 OVR Rollie Fingers, 97 OVR Kyle Seager, and three 99 OVRs. Thus, play any game mode to make progress.
- Team Affinity 1: Thirty Season 1 cards were released immediately. And, more will be added throughout the Season.
- Other Programs: Season Awards and the Jackie Robinson Day Programs are among additional Programs that award Season 1 cards.
Additionally, MLB The Show 24 packs will also randomly include Season 1 cards.
