On July 12, 2024, Sony San Diego will launch update 1.16 for MLB The Show 24. The update will come with changes to select jerseys, as one notable City Connect jersey will now properly display numbers on jerseys. Additionally, a change to My Profile will affect how game history looks on the profile moving forward. Here’s a look at what will be included in update 1.16 in MLB The Show 24.

Here’s a look at the patch notes for update 1.16 in MLB The Show 24:

GENERAL

• Texas Rangers City Connect uniforms will now display the number on the front of the jerseys. 
• Game history in My Profile will now only display Exhibition games. Diamond Dynasty game history is still available within the Diamond Dynasty menus.  

FRANCHISE

• Fixed an issue in Franchise where TEX would be listed on the team select screen as 2nd in ALW in situations when they were 1st place in the standings. 

DEVELOPER NOTES 

• There are no gameplay or live content balance changes in this update. 

This update comes just hours before the launch of Team Affinity 2: Chapter 2. Remember that it will deploy at 4 AM PT on July 12, 2024. Thus, server maintenance will take place and it’s recommended that all games finish before the time and date.

Also, the MLB The Show team did not make any gameplay updates, per the development team. This marks the fourth straight update no gameplay change was made. The last one came on June 13, when SDS made it harder to foul off pitches with poor timing or worse.
