On September 12, Sony San Diego released a ton of content in MLB The Show 25. Among the content was a brand-new Inning Program. The 8th Inning Program features packs, Cornerstone Program keys, and three new 99 OVR boss cards, all of whom feature Hall of Famers.

This path is, aside from the swapouts for the Cornerstone and Boss packs, an exact replica of the 7th Inning one.

Much like previous ones, two of the three bosses (sellable) can be obtained through the path.

How to make progress

As always, Inning Program progress can be made by earning XP across the various Diamond Dynasty & non-DD modes.

Anyone who obtained all three 7th Inning Bosses can complete a collection to get 50,000 XP towards the 8th Inning. Go to ‘Collections’ to lock in the three bosses.

Exchanges are also back. Individuals can exchange any card not collected for extra XP:

  • I: 5,000 XP (10,000 Value)
  • II: 7,000 XP (14,000 Value)
  • III: 10,000 XP (20,000 Value)
  • IV: 13,000 XP (26,000 Value)
  • V: 15,000 XP (30,000 Value)

Assorted drop missions released on September 12 include five stolen bases (5K XP), 45 strikeouts (7.5K XP), and 131 RBI (10K XP).

Bosses & 8th Inning Evolutions

There are three bosses for the 8th Inning. But aside from those three, there’s a 99 OVR Prime Series card of Todd Helton. Here is a look at the attributes for it, and it’s non-sellable:

99 Helton

Now, a look at the three bosses:

Vladimir Guerrero

99 Vlad Sr

Pedro Martinez

99 Pedro

Mike Piazza

99 Piazza

And as noted above, the 8th Inning Cornerstones are 99 OVR cards for Eddie Mathews, Craig Biggio, and Trevor Hoffman.

When does the 8th Inning Program expire?

October 3, 2025.

Like the 7th Inning, this is a three-week program.
