On April 15, MLB celebrates Jackie Robinson’s legacy by having all players wear #42. Sony San Diego celebrated it this year with the Jackie Robinson Day Program in MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty. The program includes five new Diamonds, including an 89 OVR shortstop card of the Baseball Hall of Famer. Here’s a look at the program, plus the Negro Leagues Collection.

How to make progress

This program is somewhat more complicated than last year’s Jackie Robinson Day Program. However, it’s not tough whatsoever.

Here’s a look at the tasks:

  • Complete three Moments (30 pts. – 10 pts. each)
  • Tally 42 PXP with Dodgers (12 pts.)
  • Complete Jackie Robinson Day Showdown (20 pts.)
  • Negro Leagues Missions:
    • Tally 350 PXP with 86 OVR Andy Cooper (5 pts.)
    • Tally 150 PXP with 86 OVR Rap Dixon (5 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with 87 OVR Leon Day (5 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with 87 OVR Rube Foster (5 pts.)
    • Tally 500 PXP with players who played in Negro Leagues (5 pts.)
    • Tally 1000 PXP with players who played in Negro Leagues (5 pts.)
    • Tally 1,500 PXP with players who played in Negro Leagues (10 pts.)
  • OPTIONAL Storyline Collections:
    • Collect 80 OVR Cool Papa Bell, Wilber Rogan, & Turkey Stearnes (20 pts.)
    • Collect 84 OVR Leroy Matlock & Oscar Charleston (20 pts.)

Additionally, the Jackie Robinson Day Showdown comes with 20 points and includes a Choice pack with two players at the end of it. However, it must be done twice to get all four cards (note: the mini-bosses can be failed in this Showdown).

Also, there are optional Storyline collections feature players new to MLB The Show through the Negro Leagues Museum and Season 3 of Storylines. However, all of those cards will be necessary for the big collection.

Lastly, there are two cards obtainable through the new Negro Leagues Collection. An 89 OVR Larry Doby (13 Negro Leagues cards) and a 90 OVR John Donaldson (20 cards) are the rewards.
