Spring means baseball and new baseball video games. Com2Us and OOTP Developments will release Out of the Park Baseball 26 (OOTP 26) this coming spring, giving those who want an in-depth franchise control experience an alternative to MLB The Show and its Franchise Mode. Here’s what we know about the title, including when it will be released.
What is Out of the Park Baseball?
Out of the Park Baseball is a long-running simulation baseball franchise, one that doesn’t have any actual baseball gameplay. Rather, it’s essentially a high-detail version of “Franchise Mode” found in MLB The Show and other sports games.
Individuals can take control of either current or past MLB teams and build that organization into a dynasty. Out of the Park Baseball traditionally has significant more detail, thanks in part to the fact it’s not limited to name-and-likeness arrangements and can use baseball players of yesteryear.
The game features the ability to influence moves within games, strategies, a lab that can be used to increase player development, as well as real-life MLB Draft classes for the first several years of a current-season save file.
For 2026, the developers promise an overhauled player scouting mode, improved AI, and an improved user interface.
Additionally, OOTP has its own card-collecting game called Perfect Team.
When will it be released?
It will be released on March 14, 2025. OOTP 26, oddly enough, launches the same day early access for MLB The Show 25 kicks off.
What platforms will OOTP 26 be available on?
Out of the Park Baseball 26 is available on PC. This game, will not a replica of MLB The Show, could be a good substituate for those who can’t get the title on PC.
Note that Com2Us traditionally releases a mobile version of the game, called OOTP Go.
