Week 5 of the 2025 Arizona Fall League season was a shortened week of action, as only four days of play were staged. This is the weekend of the circuit’s All-Star Game, known as the Fall Stars Game. Many of the league’s best prospects will be featured in the affair.

Fall Stars game set for November 9

On November 9, the Arizona Fall League will contest the Fall Stars Game, the league’s version of the All-Star Game. Here are the announced rosters:

  • 2025 AFL AL Fall Stars roster
  • 2025 AFL NL Fall Stars roster

On the American League side, star Astros pitching prospect Anderson Brito will join organization teammates Walker Janek (will not play) and co-ERA league leader James Hicks. Hicks has yet to give up a run across 16 innings this season.

Former first-rounders Jonny Farmelo, Blake Mitchell, and Brayden Taylor are on the roster, as is AFL hit leader Sam Antonacci.

The National League roster includes former first-rounders Charlie Condon, Cam Collier, and Seaver King are on the roster. They’ll be joined by Esmerlyn Valdez, who leads the AFL with eight home runs, as well as Mets prospect Chris Suero, who’s tied for second in home runs (5).

On the pitching side of things, Jake Bennett (25) and Karson Milbrandt (23), the league leaders in strikeouts, are also on the roster.

The AFL Fall Stars Game will start at 8 PM ET and air on MLB.com and the MLB Network.

McGonigle has another monster week

Yes, Kevin McGonigle was also named to the Fall Stars Game. McGonigle is coming off yet another great week down in Arizona, as he batted .462 with three home runs, most over the last week. He also tied Royals prospect Daniel Vazquez for most RBI (7) on the week.

In the year, McGonigle is slashing .385/.494/.754 (1.248 OPS) with five home runs and 19 RBI. His home run, RBI, and total hits (25) rank among the top ten of the circuit in all three categories, as does his OPS.

Strong performances from Corniell & Smith

You can’t forget about the pitchers, either.

Two pitchers also on the Fall Stars rosters, Jose Corniell and Hagen Smith, had solid weeks. Corniell gave up seven hits but struck out six over three innings in his lone start this past week. The Rangers right-hander is up to 17 strikeouts over 15 innings with Surprise.

Hagen Smith struck out four over two innings. The White Sox prospect has 21 strikeouts over 14 innings, a total that puts him fifth in the circuit.
