The Orioles confirmed their group of non-roster invites to 2025 Spring Training on February 6. The list includes several former Major Leaguers, as well as a few of the O’s top prospects. Catcher Samuel Basallo and outfielder Enrique Bradfield Jr. headlines the list.

Perhaps the most notable prospect named to Orioles Spring Training is Samuel Basallo. Basallo is arguably the best catching prospect in the Minors, thanks to prodigious power and hitting ability.

The 20-year-old hit .289/.355/.469 (.820 OPS) with 16 home runs and 38 extra-base hits with Bowie (AA) last season. Baltimore’s had him split defensive time between catcher and first base, a move that should suit him well with Adley Rutschman currently on the big league roster.

The other notable prospects heading to big league camp for the O’s are former first-round pick Enrique Bradfield Jr. and Dylan Beavers.

Bradfield Jr. projects as a future center fielder for the Orioles, thanks to plus-plus speed that serves him well both in the field and on the basepaths. Last season between High-A and Double-A, Bradfield stole 74 bases.

The 23-year-old has below-average power, limiting his ceiling. But, what works in his favor is the fact Bradfield Jr. gets on base a lot. He sported a .358 cumulative OBP and walked 10.7% of the time in 2024.

Beavers, meanwhile, has steadily progressed since Baltimore picked him in the first round in 2022. The 23-year-old slashed .242/.342/.408 with 15 home runs, 31 stolen bases, and 40 extra-base hits last year. Beavers made it up to Triple-A, playing six games late in the year with Norfolk. He’s got a quick bat and can hit for pop.

Other players going to Orioles camp as non-roster invitees are power hitter Jud Fabian, former D-Back Corbin Martin, Livan Soto, Nathan Webb, Maverick Handley, Carlos Tavera, Jakob Hernandez, Rodolfo Martinez, David Banuelos, Levi Stoudt, Silas Ardoin, Yaramil Hiraldo, and Justin Armbruester.

The group joins played already named to Baltimore’s non-roster invite list. Former Angels prospects Jeremiah Jackson and Jordyn Adams are on the list, plus Franklin Barreto, Nick Gordon, Vimael Machin, Terrin Vavra, Matt Bowman, and Thaddeus Ward.

Speaking of Spring Training-related news, the Yankees confirmed their list of non-roster invitees on February 5.
