- Manny Machado H+R+RBI over 1.5 (-155)
Because of the poor weather conditions on the East Coast and Chicago area, at least three games may get washed away on April 2. Thus, the action today could be limited.
The Red Sox thrashed the A’s 9-0 on April 1, as Triston Casas notched two hits and leadoff man Jarren Duran got three versus Oakland. Tonight, staff ace Brayan Bello goes against Alex Wood.
Bello pitched very well on Opening Night against the Mariners and on paper, tonight’s matchup is good for him and the Boston lineup. However, the young righty will look for revenge against an A’s team that hit him hard last summer in Oakland. Bello yielded six runs in four innings on July 19, 2023.
As for our second pick, Manny Machado has recorded at least two hits, runs scored, or RBI in a single game in four out of his first seven contests. He’ll look to make it five out of eight against Miles Mikolas and the Cardinals.
Mikolas is a pitch-to-contact righty who’s had trouble at times with Machado throughout his career. Machado is 3-11 with a home run and three RBI in his career against Mikolas.
