It’s been a great past few days for several rookies, including Luke Keaschall and Jakob Marsee. The two have become valued assets for their respective teams — and fantasy owners should take notice. Both are on our Week 19 fantasy baseball hitter target list for 2025.

Best Week 19 hitters to target

Earlier this week, I went into more detail on Luke Keaschall in our fantasy prospects to watch for August. In that recap, I noted how Keaschall has been able to hit for pop and cover the upper part of the strike zone. Fast forward a few days, and Keaschall’s becoming a fantasy star.

The Twins’ rookie batted .455 with two home runs and 10 RBI on the week, pacing a Minnesota offense that looks significantly different compared to a month earlier.

Keaschall was a big-name prospect heading into the year, as he hit extremely well virtually at every level he played in last season. And thus far, the Majors haven’t proven to be a struggle for him.

Another rookie who’s moving up is Jakob Marsee. Marsee, acquired last year in the Luis Arraez trade, made his debut on August 1 and has been exceptional since then. Marsee hit 13-31 (.419 AVG) with a home run and six RBI since the start of the month.

Marsee did a lot right in the Minors, including getting on base. But what he can also do is swipe bases. The rookie outfielder picked up five over his first 11 games, tied with teammate Xavier Edwards for second-most in the Majors for August. He has a reputation for doing that, as Marsee stole 51 last season.

As for the rest of the list, Jurickson Profar has begun to trend up. Profar recorded an MLB-high 10 runs scored over the last week and hit three home runs for the Braves in that span. He’s been locked in the leadoff spot since the middle of July, a good sign for those who need runs scored.

Padres outfielder Ramon Laureano has fit in with his new team well. Laureano drove in six over the last week.

Lastly, Ezequiel Tovar batted .435 (10-23) over the last seven days.

Overview of Week 18

That was some week by Ernie Clement, wouldn’t you say?

We highlighted Clement last week thanks to his position versatility and ability to make contact. But this past week, Clement did everything. The Blue Jays’ infielder had a five-hit day and a four-hit day during the team’s series against Colorado. In total, Clement went 12-30 (.400) with three home runs on the week.

Carlos Correa, meanwhile, hit .480 (12-25) with a home run in his first full week back with the Astros.

Warming Bernabel and Colson Montgomery, though, didn’t have stellar weeks but are nonetheless names to still watch.
