We are down to two weeks left in the 2026 MLB and fantasy baseball seasons. This is crunch time, and also a period where one injury can shut down a player’s entire season. So, if you’re down a piece or two, it would be a good idea to find the right replacement. With Week 24 starting up, here’s a look at five hitters to target in fantasy.

Best Week 24 hitters to target

• OF Brett Bateman (Blue Jays)
• OF Henry Bolte (Athletics)
• 2B/OF A.J. Ewing (Mets)
• 3B Josh Jung (Rangers)
• 1B TJ Rumfield (Rockies)

Henry Bolte is, arguably, the biggest name on this list. The rookie Athletics outfielder came into play on September 13 with five stolen bases in his last eight games, which was first in the Majors from September 4-12. However, that’s not all Bolte can do in fantasy.

He came into play on the 13th with a seven-game hitting streak, and hits in 12 of 14 games since August 29. And while Bolte, who led the Pacific Coast League in home runs when he was promoted back in May, hasn’t been a prolific home run threat in the Majors, he has hit five over the last month.

A.J. Ewing quietly put together a nice few days, leading into the final two weeks of the regular season. From the 4th through the 12th, Ewing hit .480 with two home runs and nine RBI. He’s also stolen eight bases in the last month, giving him 23 on the year.

T.J. Rumfield, like Bolte & Ewing, has been remarkably consistent with respect to getting hits. Since August 25, he has had a hit in all but two of 16 games.

The last player on our list is Brett Bateman. Now, don’t expect Bateman to hit a lot of home runs, even though he had two between the 11th and 12th of September. But Bateman has underrated value down the stretch? Why? Bateman’s been leading off for the Jays of late — and producing.

Since August 10, Bateman has had a hit in every single one but six games he’s played in. And for the most part, Toronto slotted him in the leadoff spot every day. For a guy who can get hits and score runs (provided the Jays do their part), Bateman should be on the radar.

Josh Jung, lastly, is off the IL. In the two games back, Jung had two multi-hit games versus the Diamondbacks.

Overview of Week 23

Tommy Edman did not have a single hit all week. Which, given his game, is very surprising. A very difficult week for someone who came into Week 23 scorching hot. However, it would be good to hold, at least as a bench player.

On the flip side, it was a very good one for Yainer Diaz. Between the series in Philadelphia and St. Pete, Diaz had four multi-hit contests.

Thomas Saggese had hits in four games this week, including a multi-hit game on September 7 against the Giants. And speaking of the Giants, Bryce Eldridge, who should play every day over the next two weeks, had three multi-hit contests and eight RBI heading into the 13th against the Padres.
