We move to Week 4 of the 2026 fantasy baseball season, and that means a look at some fresh bats to potentially target on the waiver wire. One AL West hitter is a prime target after a fantastic week at the dish. The same can be said for two others who have had quietly productive seasons with their respective teams.

Best Week 4 hitters to target

We’ll start with Josh Jung, one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball.

Over the last week, Jung’s 10 hits are tied with Marlins catcher Liam Hicks for the most in the league during that span. Two home runs and seven RBI for the Rangers’ third baseman in that stretch.

Those were Jung’s first two home runs of 2026, in what’s been an utterly bizarre year for him. Jung currently sports one of the highest hard-hit rates (55.6%), yet one of the lowest Barrel% (1.9%) in the league. Very elevated line-drive rate, as well as a higher ground-ball rate.

We haven’t seen Jung be an impact fantasy player since 2023, his rookie season. Part of that has been due to injuries. But the talent is still here.

Jorge Soler is back from suspension and picked up a hit in his first game back with the Angels. Things have turned for the better in Anaheim for both the rotation and lineup this season. A healthy Mike Trout is a big reason why. But Soler, who hit four home runs in his last seven before his suspension, is one to watch.

Jose Fernandez hasn’t hit a home run since his two-home run debut last month against the Tigers. However, he plays every day and has been productive, with six hits over the last week. Plus bat speed, which also means potential to hit more home runs. He hit 17 of them in Double-A last year.

Xander Bogaerts has hit three home runs since April 7 and has been one of San Diego’s more productive hitters this season. As a matter of fact, Bogaerts is the Padres’ co-leader in hits (21) alongside Ramon Laureano.

And for those looking for a quiet source of runs scored, Cole Young has 14 on the season. Young, who’s walked more than he struck out over the past 10 days, has slotted in at the bottom of the Seattle lineup and helps turn things over to the top with a runner on.

Overview of Week 3

It was a big week for Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler, one of our Week 3 targets. Dingler hit .421 with two home runs over the past week for Detroit.

Daulton Varsho, another one of our picks, batted .308 with a home run across four games. Unfortunately for the outfielder, he’s dealing with a leg injury that he suffered during the Jays’ series versus the Diamondbacks.

Willi Castro, meanwhile, has been in and out of the lineup. It didn’t help that Castro missed time this past week with an injury of his own.
