Heading into the final few days before the end of the 2026 first half, there are several hot names across the fantasy baseball scene. Yes, some very familiar names are among the risers. But so are some players who’ve risen to become assets in 2026, including rookies TJ Rumfield and Foster Griffin.

Risers

Look, a lot has been made over Junior Caminero’s monstrous past few weeks — and for good reason. Between June 22 and July 2, no batter had more home runs than Caminero (9), one ahead of Dansby Swanson. However, Caminero wasn’t the only one to fuel the Rays’ run back to the top of the AL East.

Jonathan Aranda batted over .400 in that span. And then there’s Cedric Mullins, who has come alive to post his best stretch of the 2026 campaign to this point. Ten hits, four of which were home runs, and six runs scored over his last eight games heading into July 3.

Brandon Marsh is also on a tear, as he batted .340 with six home runs over his last 11 games. Also, TJ Rumfield has turned into an intriguing asset in fantasy this season. Aside from the 12 home runs, Rumfield gets on base plenty of times, whether it be through walks or hits.

His 15 hits from 6/22-7/2 were tied for the fourth-most in the Majors.

As for pitchers, Sonny Gray was sensational in his last two starts. Twenty strikeouts over 14.1 IP, a 0.63 ERA, and one win. Gray would have had a second had Boston not blown a late lead against the Yankees this past weekend.

Foster Griffin, meanwhile, punched out 18 over 14.1 IP in his own last two starts. Griffin struck out nine over seven strong against the Orioles in his last start, an outing where he didn’t allow an earned run.

Fallers

It’s been a cold stretch for several notable hitters of late.

Cody Bellinger isn’t the only Yankees hitter in a slump after Aaron Judge went down with a fractured rib. However, perhaps this is the most substantial slump. Bellinger is 2-32 in his last nine games. He’s still getting on base with five walks but unless you’re in a points league and have him, it’s a tough break.

Drake Baldwin, meanwhile, has been mired in a cold stretch since he came off the injured list several weeks ago. Heading into play, Baldwin is 3-33 over his previous nine with 11 strikeouts.

Ivan Herrera, who’s been one of the more valuable catchers this season in fantasy, is .129/.250/.161 across his past nine games.

Moving on to pitching, Joe Ryan may have 14 strikeouts over his last 10 innings. However, four walks, two home runs, and 14 hits allowed result in 10 earned runs allowed. Seth Lugo, meanwhile, conceded five home runs over 11 innings in his last two starts.

Among starters with 10+ IP thrown between June 22 and July 2, no pitcher came close to his 4.1 HR/9. The only two who even inched near it were JP Sears and Peter Lambert (both at 3.6).
