Nick Lodolo’s blister problems got the better of him again on July 11, as he was removed in his start against the Cubs. Plus, Jacob Misiorowski won’t be starting in what was supposed to be a marquee matchup against Paul Skenes and the Pirates on July 12.

Bichette out again

Mets 3B/SS Bo Bichette did not start again for the second straight day on July 11. He’s been dealing with sore legs and ankles, per manager Andy Green.

However, he did come in as a pinch hitter.

Lodolo leaves with blister

Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo left his start against the Reds early due to a blister.

Blisters have been a chronic problem for Lodolo throughout his career. Manager Terry Francona indicated after the game that Lodolo is likely headed to the injured list (h/t New York Times).

Miz out on the 12th

Robert Gasser will start on July 12 in place of Jacob Misiorowski, who was scratched because of general fatigue.

Misiorowski told the media that he’ll likely be ready for either the first or second series back from the break.
