Several young outfielders in the NL East are dealing with injuries. Kyle Stowers will be sidelined for at least a week in camp, while the Nationals had to scratch Dylan Crews, who missed significant time last season, thanks to a thumb injury. Here are notes on the injury front for March 1.

Crews scratched from lineup

Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews was scratched from the team’s lineup on March 1 thanks to left thumb soreness. Crews is 1-9 over his first four contests in the Grapefruit League this season.

Christian Franklin took his spot in the lineup.

Kessinger to miss at least two months

The Mets noted on March 1 that infielder Grae Kessinger is expected to miss eight to 12 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Kessinger was fighting for a roster spot this spring, as Francisco Lindor‘s status for Opening Day is a question mark thanks to hamate bone surgery.

Stowers sidelined for at least one week

Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers will miss one to two weeks as he recovers from a hamstring injury, per the team.
