Diamondbacks outfielder Jesús Sanchez was designated for assignment by the club on September 26.

Sanchez went just 2-for-15 in his six games with Arizona. The Diamondbacks added him to the active roster after he was claimed from Toronto earlier in the month.

The Nationals designated pitcher Chase Hampton for assignment. Hampton, claimed off waivers earlier in the month, did not appear in a Major League game for Washington.
