Yet again, Craig Kimbrel found a new home. Kimbrel signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on May 26, one of several notable moves made on the day.

Kimbrel to Rays

The Rays signed reliever Craig Kimbrel to a Major League deal.

Kimbrel joins yet another team, and once he makes his Rays debut, that will be the 11th team that he suited up for in his Major League career. He started the year on a Minor League deal with the Mets before he was promoted in April.

The Mets DFA’d Kimbrel in May.

Cabrera on Minor League deal

The Royals signed left-hander Genesis Cabrera to a Minor League deal.

Cabrera was with the Phillies’ Triple-A affiliate this season before he was released on May 16. He posted an ERA north of 10.00 with Lehigh Valley.

He was sent to Triple-A Omaga.
