On August 29, 2024, MLB The Show 24 launched Season 3 and Team Affinity 3 in Diamond Dynasty, which includes fresh bosses. Unlike previous seasons, the power curve will start with 95 OVR cards, meaning the jump to 99 OVR will happen faster. And, the first batch of Team Affinity 3 cards included out-of-position cards of MLB stars, highlighting their past adventures at other positions. In October 2024, the second and final chapter of Team Affinity 3 went live.

All players are 95 OVR. The 30 cards are out-of-position, meaning none are in the primary position of their career or specific timeframe. However, many of these cards are based on part of the positions played at some point in their high school, college, and MLB career. Examples include Jacob deGrom, who played shortstop at Stetson, and Bryce Harper, a catcher in junior college.
Another example is a relief pitcher card of Adam Dunn, who did pitch for Chicago in 2014 for a game.
Note there are only two Chapters in Team Affinity 3, a change from the three chapters in Team Affinity 1 & 2.
