A lot of action took place on June 7 in MLB The Show 24. Not only did new content for Diamond Dynasty drop but five players went Diamond thanks to a ratings update for Diamond Dynasty. Here’s a look at notable changes made in the MLB The Show 24 June 7 ratings update.

The five players who jumped to Diamond status were Ranger Suarez, Matt Strahm, Chris Sale, Marcell Ozuna, and Will Smith of the Dodgers. Sale, Strahm, Suarez, and Smith all moved up two points to 86 OVR. Ozuna moved up to an 85 OVR.

It’s not a shock to see some of these moves. Entering play on the 7th, Ozuna owned the seventh-best bWAR (2.3) among NL position players. Suarez, meanwhile is the NL leader in bWAR (2.7) among pitchers.

Several players also fell out of Diamond status. Ozzie Albies (83 OVR, -2) and Edwin Diaz (82 OVR, -4) dropped out.

As far as other notes, Tarik Skubal jumped up two points to 90 OVR in what’s been a sensational year for the lefty. Skubal entered play on June 7 with the third-best bWAR (3.0) among Major League pitchers. Juan Soto (89 OVR) and Bobby Witt Jr. (90 OVR) went up two points, as well.

Jose Ramirez (89 OVR, +3) and Mason Miller (87 OVR, +2) also went up.

Garrett Crochet (84 OVR, +3), Christian Yelich (83 OVR, +1), and Andres Gimenez (83 OVR, +2) were among the notable non-Diamond risers in the MLB The Show 24 June 7 ratings update.

One other note of interest. Former Padres infielder Tucupita Marcano was removed from San Diego’s Live Series collection but not taken out of the game entirely. Marcano is listed as a Free Agent after the 24-year-old was given a lifetime ban for betting on baseball while a member of the Pirates.

The ratings update came amidst a major content update in MLB The Show 24, one that saw the additions of Team Affinity 2 and the Season 2 XP Path.
