The Giants were one of many teams to announce their 2026 Spring Training non-roster list on February 4. It’s a shorter list compared to other teams but one that does have some notable names. Among them are former Major Leaguers and two of the best-hitting prospects in the system right now for the Giants.

The prospects

Several players who were featured in our 2025 Giants farm review will be in camp as non-roster invites. Arguably, the two most notable are Bo Davidson and Parks Harber.

Davidson was an undrafted free agent but has developed into one of the Giants’ best prospects. An outfield with power and speed, Davidson slashed .281/.376/.468 with 18 home runs and 19 stolen bases last season across two levels. Not much swing-and-miss.

Harber, like Davidson, was also an undrafted free agent. However, Harber was a different kind of UDFA compared to Davidson, who went to Caldwell Tech CC. Harber starred as a slugger with UNC and Georgia but was not selected. However, the Yankees — who signed Harber out of college — looked good for grabbing him.

The 24-year-old posted a .970 OPS over 79 games between Low-A and High-A. The Giants acquired Harber, a power-hitting corner infielder, in the trade that sent Camilo Doval to the Yankees last July.

Nate Furman, acquired from Cleveland, was a former fourth-round pick by Cleveland in 2022. Furman has only played 194 games over his first three full pro seasons but he gets on base a lot. The 24-year-old slashed .364/.490/.649 with six home runs and 10 extra-base hits across 21 games in High-A, his third act at the level.

Former first-round pick Will Bednar posted a Whiff% north of 35% last season for Double-A Richmond. However, Bednar’s command has been a suspect point for the former college pitching star who’s now a reliever.

Others going to Arizona with the big club include ex-Dodgers prospect Diego Cartaya, Trent Harris, Wilkin Ramos, Victor Bericoto, and Juan Sanchez.

Other notables

Michael Fulmer signed a Minor League deal with an invite to Spring Training. He’s one of several former MLB pitchers in camp with the Cubs. Caleb Kilian, Nick Margevicius, and former Mariner Gregory Santos.

Catchers Logan Porter & Eric Haase, as well as Buddy Kennedy, Jared Oliva, and Osleivis Basabe, are among the hitters in the Giants’ 2026 Spring Training camp.
