Rosters for the 2026 World Baseball Classic were announced on February 5. And after months of player reveals, the entire Team USA roster was announced. It’s deep, as it includes the reigning AL MVP, the two reigning Cy Young winners, and a plethora of other marquee talent, as the USA looks to win in 2026 after finishing the runner-up three years ago.

Pitchers

One of the big problems with Team USA over the years has been able to recruit the best pitchers available. Back in 2023, the likes of Corbin Burnes, Jacob deGrom, and Gerrit Cole — arguably the best options at the time — did not play in the World Baseball Classic.

This time around, that’s not an excuse.

Team USA will have, arguably, the two best pitchers in the world right now on the team. Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes will headline a deep potential rotation that could also include Joe Ryan and Logan Webb, two All-Stars.

Nolan McLean and Matthew Boyd are among the other options.

As for the bullpen, it’s deep on paper. Team USA has a true closer in Mason Miller, funky lefties in Speier and Cleavinger, plus pitchers like Keller and Jax who can give teams different looks.

Catchers

There’s not much to add here.

Team USA will have Cal Raleigh and Will Smith, two adept receivers and two of the best offensive catchers in the game today.

Infielders

Bryce Harper will suit up for Team USA yet again, this time in the World Baseball Classic. He was not available in 2023, as he was recovering from offseason elbow surgery that year.

Team USA’s infield has power and speed, with Henderson and Witt Jr. headlining a good group of infielders.

Free agent Paul Goldschmidt rounds out the group.

Outfielders

Lots of speed and lots of power.

Team USA will have two true center fielders with Buxton and Crow-Armstrong, Carroll is coming off a great year — and so are Judge and Schwarber.

With a deep overall team, the excuses should the team not win will be slim to none.
