Mid-August MLB The Show 23 Ratings Update
In a mid-August ratings update, six players went Diamond in Diamond Dynasty. Arguably the most notable name to go Diamond was Cody Bellinger, the Lightning for July after what was a mammoth month for the Cubs. Bellinger’s now at an 87 OVR in Diamond Dynasty.
Two Braves in co-MLB home run leader Matt Olson and Michael Harris II (both 87 OVR), Bobby Witt Jr. (86 OVR), Ha-Seong Kim (85 OVR), and Pablo Lopez (85 OVR) also went Diamond.
Dodgers INF/OF Mookie Betts got a boost to 95 OVR, while Adolis Garcia (+2, 91 OVR), Marcus Semien (+4, 89 OVR), and Corey Seager (+2, 88 OVR) were among other notable Diamond risers.
And as far as non-Diamond upgrades are concerned, Ryan Mountcastle (+5, 83 OVR) and Joel Payamps (+4, 82 OVR) also received significant increases.
There were also some notable downgrades. Fernando Tatis Jr.‘s hitting stats dipped, and he’s down to a 91 OVR. That marked a -3 OVR downgrade.
Astros SP Framber Valdez, who recently threw a no-hitter, did get pushed down -1 OVR to an 84 OVR. Joe Ryan (-2, 83 OVR), Paul Goldschmidt (-2, 83 OVR), and Carlos Rodón (-3, 83 OVR) all slipped to Gold status, as well.
