Per the official MLB collective bargaining agreement, players without contracts for the following season become free agents at 9:00 AM ET on the day after the World Series ends. That day came for over one hundred 2025-26 free agents on November 2. While a quiet period will exist for the first few days, stars like Framber Valdez, Kyle Tucker, and Kyle Schwarber are now officially free agents.

The list includes several heavyweight free agents, including NL home run leader Kyle Schwarber, multi-time batting champion Luis Arraez, Kyle Tucker, Dylan Cease, Ranger Suarez, and Bo Bichette.

It should be noted, however, that this is not the official list of notable free agents. Many players became free agents last month after being outrighted. There will also be international free agents, perhaps most notably Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami.

Additionally, several notables, including Alex Bregman, Pete Alonso, and Cody Bellinger, have player options that must be declined or accepted.

One player listed above, Michael King, had a mutual option that was not exercised.
