On November 14, Sony released the first Captain Blizzard Program, Drop 1, in MLB The Show 25. Captain Blizzard, introduced in MLB The Show 24, was a series of separate content drops that’ll include new Captains in Diamond Dynasty that ran through the end of January 2026. The first two Captains released were Baseball Hall of Famer Whitey Ford and former All-Star Brian Roberts.

As for the Perez-themed challenges, those are a little bit more complicated.
However, players like 99 OVR Bob Gibson, Ozzie Smith, Gary Carter, Ted Simmons, and George Brett are among the players who would work for those challenges.

The Asian-born requirements are simple. As well as Nootbaar and Edman, players like Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki, Kodai Senga, Jung Hoo Lee, and Seiya Suzuki are among the ones who would be eligible.
As for the “short kings,” it gets somewhat trickier. Players who meet that requirement and have a 99 OVR in the game include Jose Altuve, Corbin Carroll, Tommy Edman, Jasson Dominguez, Alejandro Kirk, and Brian Roberts.

There ar several relievers in MLB The Show 25 who meet the 45+ save criteria, aside from Gagne. Edwin Diaz, Emmanuel Clase, Dennis Eckersley, Kenley Jansen, Ryan Helsley, Lee Smith, Bruce Sutter, Craig Kimbrel, and Trevor Hoffman are among that group.
As for the pre-1970 missions, players like 99 OVR Hall of Fame Ted Williams & 99 OVR Milestone John Donaldson in the Collections meet the criteria. For those who don’t have either, look for players like 99 OVR Babe Ruth, Josh Gibson, Larry Doby, Honus Wagner, Satchel Paige,and Lou Gehrig.
In fact, all of the Negro Leagues players would work.

Players who won a World Series MVP and are in MLB The Show 25 include Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Troy Glaus, George Springer, Corey Seager, Freddie Freeman, Jeremy Pena, Derek Jeter, Roberto Clemente, David Ortiz, Randy Johnson, Bob Gibson, & Rollie Fingers.
As for the 50+ stolen base marker, players like Tim Raines, Craig Biggio, Lou Brock, Rickey Henderson, Tony Gwynn, Elly De La Cruz, Brice Turang, Ryne Sandberg, Corbin Carroll, Shohei Ohtani, and Ozzie Smith are among players who fit that category.
It should also be noted that for those who have the 99 OVR Moonshot Luis Aparicio, he fits both the 50+ stolen base and Orioles Mission requirements.
