It’s time to get Extreme in MLB The Show 25. On October 17, Sony released the Extreme Program in MLB The Show 25, a yearly tradition. It comes with five total card rewards, three in the program itself and two in an adjacent Diamond Quest. And to little shock, the rewards are impressive.

Extreme Program reward path

Here are the rewards in the MLB The Show 25 Extreme Program:

  • 10 Points: Extreme Dragon Icon and 25,000 XP
  • 20 Points: Premier Choice Pack
  • 30 Points: 99 OVR Milestone Byron Buxton
  • 40 Points: Premier Choice Pack
  • 50 Points: Stadium Sound and 25,000 XP
  • 60 Points: 99 OVR Milestone Roger Clemens
  • 70 Points: Ultra Choice Pack
  • 80 Points: Ultra Choice Pack
  • 90 Points: Ultra Choice Pack
  • 100 Points: 99 OVR Milestone Elly De La Cruz and 25,000 XP

Much like in past years, the Extreme rewards are very good, which makes sense given the grind that it’ll take to get them.

How to make progress

Here are the different tasks available for the Extreme Program:

  • Complete Extreme Diamond Quest (30 pts.)
  • Complete Extreme Conquest (30 pts.)
  • Complete Extreme Showdown (30 pts.)
  • Complete 10 Moments (40 pts. – 4 pts. each)
  • Extreme PXP Mission:
    • Tally 40,000 PXP in any Diamond Dynasty game mode (5 pts.) (REPEATABLE)
  • OPTIONAL Extreme Missions (Expire 10/31/25 at 2 PM ET):
    • Tally two wins in Extreme Event (1 pt.) (REPEATABLE)
    • Tally five wins in Extreme Event (5 pts.)
    • Tally 10 wins in Extreme Event (5 pts.)

Since it’s the Extreme Program, the Missions and Moments are designed to be excessively difficult.

Let’s start with the Showdown. There are 10 Mini-Bosses, leading up to 99 OVR Milestone Roger Clemens as the final boss. There’s also the Extreme Diamond Quest one. This can be completed by finishing that map and getting 99 OVR Awards Kenley Jansen, and Carlos Santana.

Carlos Santana

Traditionally, Diamond Quest card rewards are sellable. However, Jansen and Santana are not. The DQ map must be completed to get the two. And unfortunately, players are not guaranteed either unless one plays at a difficulty with 100% drop success.

Moments

Extreme Moments

These are the Moments for the Extreme Program:

  • Tally four hits, including a double, triple, and home run with Byron Buxton on Hall of Fame in one game
  • Hit four home runs in one game with Nick Kurtz on Hall of Fame
  • Pitch nine innings with Clayton Kershaw, strike out seven batters, do not give up a run, and hit a home run with him on Hall of Fame
  • Tally two triples with Corbin Carroll in one game on Hall of Fame
  • Pitch a perfect game with Randy Johnson and get 13 strikeouts in one game on Hall of Fame
  • Come back from a 9-0 deficit with the Rockies and win the game on Legend
  • Score seven runs with the Diamondbacks on Legend without recording three outs
  • Steal five bases in one game with Tony Gwynn on Legend
  • Score 20 runs with the Blue Jays in one game on Legend
  • Strike out three batters without giving up a hit, run, walk, or HBP with Mason Miller on Legend

There isn’t one way to cheese any of these moments. You’ll have to work at it.

Conquest

Lastly, here’s a look at the Conquest:

Extreme Conquest MLB The Show 25

There are turn-based requirements for this one. First off, notice how there are two Strongholds that the user player owns: one at 11 o’clock and another at 5 o’clock. Diamond Dynasty players must beat all AL and NL East Strongholds by the end of the first turn.

Thus, one will have to work clockwise with the two strongholds. The NL West Strongholds must be conquered by the end of turn 3, while the AL Central Strongholds must be beaten by the end of turn 4. Lastly, the AL West strongholds have to be taken over by the end of turn 5.

Because of this, prepare to play on Hall of Fame & Legend on most of these. And, one more hint: make sure to steal fans after each of the first four turns to get more fans.
