After a year off in 2021, Sony San Diego brought back the Extreme Program to MLB The Show in 2022. It returned for a second straight year in 2023 and on October 18, 2024, the MLB The Show 24 version of the Extreme Program was released. Traditionally, the program includes some highly-powerful cards and that’s no different this year. The 2024 version include 99 OVR items of “glitchy” Diamond Dynasty stars, including Jorge Polanco, 2021 legend Jacob deGrom, and Ronald Acuna Jr.

Extreme Vouchers can be obtained in the Extreme Mini Seasons. The Championship Bundle includes three Extreme Vouchers. There are also repeatable Missions for Mini Season Vouchers. Ten wins on All-Star difficulty will reward one Voucher. Eight wins on Hall of Fame will grant two, while five on Legend will grant three.
Mini Seasons, if worked properly, is a great way to get this done. Beat the low OVR teams on Hall of Fame or Legend to get additional Mini Season Vouchers, then take the Championship Bundle to get more than half of this path done.
The final part of the Extreme Showdown requires players to beat Jacob deGrom on Legend difficulty. A helpful tip: bunting can be your friend.
List of Moments
- Comeback and defeat SDS “God” Squad on Hall of Fame difficulty, starting in 7th inning
- Re-create Marlins’ 2024 comeback against Rockies on All-Star difficulty, down 5-0 in the 9th
- Tally four extra-base hits with Mike Cameron on All-Star difficulty
- Throw a no-hitter with Clayton Kershaw (no hits or runs allowed) on All-Star difficulty
- Tally four hits, including a triple, with Mickey Mantle on All-Star
- Steal five bases in one game with Rickey Henderson on Hall of Fame
- Tally 16 total bases with Stan Musial during two games on Hall of Fame
- Hit for the cycle (one 1B, 2B, 3B, HR) with Wyatt Langford on All-Star
- Hit three home runs and steal two bases with Shohei Ohtani in one game on All-Star
- Tally three extra-base hits, including a home run, with Jorge Polanco on Hall of Fame
- Pitch in five games and throw five innings with Adam Ottavino, without allowing a run, on Hall of Fame
- Hit two home runs with Paul Goldschmidt on Hall of Fame
- Strike out 14 batters, without giving up a run and allowing fewer than four hits, with Jacob deGrom on Hall of Fame
- Hit two home runs and steal one bases with Ronald Acuna Jr. on Hall of Fame.
Some tips for the Moments. For Moments that include multiple games (i.e. Musial and Ottavino), make sure to use the dashboard method. Here’s what I mean. Let’s say in one game, Musial gets eight extra-base hits but you’re not on track to get 16 after a tough second game. Before the second game ends, go into the Xbox/PlayStation dashboard and shut down the app before the conclusion of that second game.
This will preserve progress of that first contest.
Second, save the Moments for last. Do the Showdown, Conquest, Mini Seasons, and/or PXP Missions first.
Extreme EZ Conquest
As noted in the tasks section, there’s also a Conquest:

The Conquest will not only yield Star Points but also 5,000 Stubs, an On Deck Choice Pack 3, and Chase Pack 15 if all goals are completed. Here’s a look at those goals:
- Goal 1: Capture the Orioles, Yankees, and Dodgers Strongholds in the middle of the ‘E’ on the 1st turn (reward is 2,000 Stubs)
- Goal 2: Capture the Giants Stronghold in the bottom by the 2nd turn (reward is Headliners Pack(
- Goal 3: Capture the Astros Stronghold in the middle of the ‘Z’ by the 3rd run (reward is 10 MLB The Show 24 packs)
- Goal 4: Capture 15 team Strongholds by the 4th turn (reward is On Deck Choice Pack 3)
- Goal 5: Complete EZ Map within six turns (reward is Chase Pack 15)
- Goal 6: Acquire 100M fans (reward is 1,500 Stubs)
- Goal 7: Steal 4M fans (reward is 1,500 Stubs)
Because there are so many teams stacked on one another, you’ll likely need to play on All-Star or Hall of Fame in most instances.
Remember, to get the 35 Points, the map must be taken over and all goals must be completed.
We may receive a small commission if you purchase through this link.
This program will not expire. Be sure to check out more of our gaming covering, including our review of Backyard Baseball ’97 (2024).
