On September 26, Sony and the MLB The Show 25 team gave players the chance to burn off duplicate Live Series cards. A new Exchange for Live Series cards unlocks a 99 OVR Milestone Xavier Edwards, a switch-hitting shortstop with pop and 90+ Speed. Here’s how to unlock 99 OVR Edwards.
Xavier Edwards Exchange requirements
To get the 99 OVR Milestone Xavier Edwards in MLB The Show 25, one must exchange Live Series cards up to 500,000 in in-game value. No other cards are allowed in the exchange other than Live Series cards.

Once reaching the exchange menu, players will be able to scroll up and down the cards owned. It’s important to note that cards locked in for the Live Series Collections are not eligible. Meaning, duplicates of previously-collected cards, as well as those not locked in are the only items eligible.
Now, to do this the right way, you can save by simply dividing 500,000 by any number of lower OVR cards and piecing it together.
Cards that are 85 OVR are valued at 20,442 in exchanges. Higher OVR cards are eligible as well. However, that method would cost more.
Go down the well, and the number decreases significantly:
| OVR | Exchange Value |
|---|---|
| 84 | 15,909 |
| 83 | 12,425 |
| 82 | 9,737 |
| 81 | 7,655 |
| 80 | 6,037 |
| 79 | 4,775 |
| 78 | 3,788 |
| 77 | 3,013 |
| 76 | 2,404 |
| 75 | 1,922 |
The key to doing this exchange is simply having excess Live Series cards on hand. But even if one doesn’t have high overalls to quickly get this done, having a mix of 75 OVR cards can get the exchange done for less than 20,000.
Complete this exchange, and 1,000 XP towards the 8th Inning Program will also be awarded.
