On March 29, the MLB The Show 25 team will drop their second game update in the last week. This update will be minor in nature, as one notable visual glitch will be addressed on it. However, what’s more notable is that Sony San Diego (SDS) provided an update in writing, addressing a framerate drop issue when certain MLB players are on the screen across the title’s various game modes.
March 29 update for MLB The Show 25
Here are the patch notes for MLB The Show 25 update 1.05:
General
- Updated home run logo displays with correct team logos for TEX, HOU, ATL, and LAA.
Developer Notes
- These changes will be deployed for the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
- The fix for framerate issues tied to the dreadlock hairstyle will be addressed in a future game update.
This update comes five days after the previous one and it’s diminutive in nature. Parch 1.05 only address one key issue, as it updates home run logo displays for the Angels, Astros, Braves, and Rangers.
And as noted, it’ll come on the Nintendo Switch in the near future. This update will only go live for the PlayStation X and Xbox Series X|S.
However, the big piece of news coming out of this update is that SDS stated a framerate issue for players with dreadlocks will be addressed shortly. It’s notable, given that players have experienced framerate drops and visual glitching when Manny Ramirez, who has dreadlocks, is on the screen.
Other players who have dreadlocks in the game include Elly De La Cruz and Jose Ramirez.
No gameplay updates are a part of this update. The update goes live at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT on March 29.
