On August 29, the MLB The Show 25 team brought back a time-honored tradition in Diamond Dynasty: the Shark Map Conquest. This year’s map might be one of the best ever from a rewards standpoint, as the final reward is a 99 OVR J.T. Realmuto. Here’s a look at the map and all the rewards that can be earned.
Map and Goals
Here’s a look at the map for the Shark Map Conquest:
There are eight MLB teams in this map: the Giants, Padres, Yankees, Rays, Marlins, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Padres. Interestingly enough, the team of the player who can be acquired isn’t in here. We’ll get to that in a minute.
There are nine goals for the MLB The Show 25 Shark Map. Those nine goals are as follows:
- Goal 1: Acquire 30M fans (reward is Headliners pack)
- Goal 2: Capture the Giants’ Strongholds (reward is Deluxe Pack)
- Goal 3: Capture the Mariners’ Stronghold (reward is Deluxe Pack)
- Goal 4: Capture the 30 territories (reward is Ballin’ is a Habit Pack)
- Goal 5: Capture the Rays and Marlins’ Strongholds (reward is 2025 Home Run Derby Choice Pack)
- Goal 6: Capture the Dodgers and Padres’ Strongholds (reward is 85+ OVR Live Series Pack)
- Goal 7: Capture the Yankees and Red Sox’s Strongholds (reward is Signature Choice Pack)
- Goal 8: Capture all team Strongholds (reward is Ultra Choice Pack)
- Goal 9: Capture all territories (rewards are 99 OVR J.T. Realmuto and 5,000 XP)

Additionally, it should be noted that no turn-based or steal requirements are a part of this map.

Hidden rewards can be earned once.
From a quantity standpoint, it’s more than what was made available in ’24. Aside from the shark stuff, there are a lot of different packs that can be acquired.
However, the meat of the content is within the goals, rather than the hidden rewards.
Remember, to make the most of the map, use players that’ll help with progress for programs and/or Team Affinity.
