The MLB The Show 26 6th Inning Program XP Path was released on July 31. It came with five new 99 OVR cards, two of which can be found in the boss pack. Both bosses should be desirable, as one is former MLB The Show cover athlete Dustin Pedroia. The other is former Oriole and switch-hitting outfielder Ken Singleton.

Much like with the 5th Inning, this one ends at 300,000 XP with the Boss Choice Pack. From there, a wheel will be activated with every 30,000 XP earned afterwards.
Those who collect 99 OVR Trout & Ohtani will receive 30,000 XP towards the 6th Inning Program path. Additionally, the first of several XP Mission drops came on July 31:
- Strike out 10 batters on any difficulty in any game mode (4,000 XP)
- Tally 500 PXP with Cornerstone Series players in any game mode (5,000 XP)
- Score 15 runs in Weekend Classic and/or Solo/Co-op Ranked (7.500 XP)
- Tally 43 hits on any difficulty in any game mode (7,500 XP)
- Tally 14 home runs in any game mode on any difficulty (7,500 XP)
More will be added on August 7 and beyond.
