The second Takeover of MLB The Show 26 went live on August 3. Ernie Clement, a member of the Blue Jays & the 2026 Team USA World Baseball Classic, received the honor after what’s been a whirlwind two years for the infielder. And on August 3, Sony released a free 99 OVR card of Clement, available in his own Takeover Program.

- 5 Points: 2,200 XP
- 10 Points: Deluxe Choice pack & 2,200 XP
- 15 Points: 2,200 XP
- 20 Points: Deluxe Choice pack & 2,200 XP
- 22 Points: 99 OVR Cover Athletes Ernie Clement and 2,200 XP
This card is six OVR points higher than the Bobby Witt Jr. Takeover card released. But keep in mind that the Witt Jr. card dropped in May. With the power curve now at 99 OVR cards, this one makes sense.

How to make progress
Here are the tasks for this program:
- Complete four Moments (12 pts. – 3 pts. each)
- Tally 30 hits with any players in any game mode (10 pts.)
Not as complex or as involved as the Witt Jr. Program. Simply do the Moments and the one lone stat Mission to get this done. There are no skippable Missions and/or Moments.
The four Moments are simple. All are on Veteran difficulty. Get one hit, get one extra-base hit, get on base one time, and tally four bases.
