For MLB The Show 25, Sony changed the digital tile on the game throughout the year, giving the three cover athletes (Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, Gunnar Henderson) their time to shine. Now, even though Aaron Judge was the only one on the MLB The Show 26 cover, the same theme is being followed this year. On May 7, Bobby Witt Jr. took over the game, and with it, a new Takeover Program that includes a 93 OVR card.

Witt Jr. Takeover Program reward path

Here’s a look at the reward path in the MLB The Show 26 Bobby Witt Jr. Takeover Program:

  • 10 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack
  • 20 Points: 500 Stubs
  • 30 Points: Bat Skin and 5,000 XP
  • 40 Points: Headliners pack
  • 50 Points: 5,000 XP

How to make progress

Here are the tasks for this program:

  • Top Prospect:
    • Tally 7,000 PXP with any players (10 pts.)
    • Tally 60 total bases with any players. (10 pts.)
  • Complete Career Highlights (50 pts. – 10 pts. each)

Unlike the Takeover Programs from ’25, there are no Moments for this program. Instead, it’s a collection of PXP & stat-based Missions.

However, you have to keep in mind that the Career Highlight tasks for this program do not stack. Meaning, the first task, which is to record 15 hits with any players, must be done first. And then, the next one will be unlocked, and on & on.
