The Common Courtesy Program is back for MLB The Show 26. It’s become Sony’s now-annual April Fools’ Day event, designed to be a more humorous program where players are supposed to perform poorly to accrue progress. Here are the rewards, plus, more importantly, how to make progress.

Common Courtesy Program reward path

Here are the rewards in the Common Courtesy Program in MLB The Show 26:

  • 5 Points: 1,000 XP
  • 10 Points: 64 OVR Last Ride Kerry Wood
  • 15 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack
  • 20 Points: 250 Stubs
  • 25 Points: 1,000 XP
  • 30 Points: 64 OVR Veteran Carlos Pena
  • 35 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack
  • 40 Points: 250 Stubs
  • 45 Points: 1,000 XP
  • 50 Points: 64 OVR Contributor Jorge Soler
  • 55 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack
  • 60 Points: 2,000 XP
  • 64 Points: 64 OVR Veteran Trevor Story
  • 1,000 Points: Ballin’ is a Habit pack

Collect all four to get a Deluxe New Threads pack. The Deluxe New Threads pack is a timed reward. It’ll only be available in the Program reward path for 24 hours and will go away on April 2 at 3 PM ET.

Here are the attributes for the Common Courtesy Program cards:

Jorge Soler

Kerry Wood

Carlos Pena

Trevor Story

For those who are confused, don’t be. Sony released a similar program on April 1, 2025. That year, the program only included Common cards at launch. The following day, it was updated to feature Diamond cards of the players included in Common Courtesy.

To get those cards, players needed to unlock the four Commons and then complete a four-player collection. Collect each Common, and one would get the Diamond equivalent of said player.

This would also explain the 10,000 Points requirement at the end. It will be available to complete soon — but not right away.

How to make progress

Here are the tasks:

  • Complete four Moments (20 pts. – 5 pts. each)
  • PXP Missions:
    • Tally 500 PXP with 0-64 OVR Commons (9 pts.) (REPEATABLE)
    • Tallly 64 PXP with 64 OVR Kerry Wood (5 pts.)
    • Tally 64 PXP with 64 OVR Carlos Pena (5 pts.)
    • Tally 64 PXP with 64 OVR Jorge Soler (5 pts.)
  • Stat Missions:
    • Tally five hits with 0-64 OVR Common players (5 pts.)
    • Give up 15 hits with any pitchers (5 pts.)
    • Make five errors with any players (5 pts.)
    • Get caught stealing five times with any players (5 pts.)

It shouldn’t take long to get the PXP and stat-based Missions done. And remember, these can be done online or in single-player action. But don’t do this in online action.

Moments

This is where things get interesting.

Last year, Sony’s April Fools joke was to give “bugged” Moments. The progress section included misleading requirements. But the Moments weren’t bugged at all. The Moments had a highlighted blue text that displayed the true requirement for it.

That is the case again in MLB The Show 26.

Common Courtesy Missions

Here are the actual Moment requirements:

  • Kerry Wood: Give up one run and don’t strike out a batter
  • Carlos Pena: Do not get a hit or an RBI
  • Jorge Soler: Tally two hits but none of them can be an extra-base hit (only singles)
  • Trevor Story: Get caught stealing without picking up a stolen base
