The MLB The Show 26 content team dropped the New Threads Series for Diamond Dynasty on March 25. For those new to the game, New Threads, as the name implies, highlights players who joined new teams over the offseason. The content included a new program, plus three collection rewards.
New Threads Program
First, let’s start with the New Threads Program in MLB The Show 26:

How to make progress
Now, a look at the tasks for the New Threads Program:
- Complete 12 Moments (60 pts. – 5 pts. each)
- Missions:
- Tally 21 innings with any pitchers (5 pts.)
- Total 38 total bases with any players (5 pts.)
- Tally 18 extra-base hits with any players (5 pts.)
- Tally nine home runs with any players (5 pts.)
- Tally 2,000 PXP with New Threads players (5 pts.)
- Tally 4,000 PXP with New Threads players (5 pts.)
- Tally 6,000 PXP with New Threads players (10 pts.)
- BONUS PXP Missions:
- Tally 500 PXP with Devin Williams, Ranger Suarez, Dylan Cease, Pete Alonso, Nolan Arenado, Edwin Diaz, Kenley Jansen, Alex Bregman, Eugenio Suarez, Kazuma Okamoto, Luis Arraez, Willson Contreras, Owen Caissie (5 pts. each)
- OPTIONAL New Threads Pack Collections:
- Collect 88 OVR New Threads Marcus Semien, Cedric Mullins, Sonny Gray, Framber Valdez, & Nick Castellanos (30 pts.)
- Collect 90 OVR New Threads Tatsuya Imai, Taylor Ward, & Jorge Polanco (70 pts.)
As always, these Missions can be completed in online and single-player game modes.
A good place to start is with those bonus PXP Missions. That is because many of the players listed above in that section, like Caissie, Arenado, Suarez, Okamoto, Arraez, and Caissie, received World Baseball Classic Series cards.
Much like with ’25, two optional collections can be completed to skip the grind altogether. However, Diamond Dynasty players will need to obtain cards from the Deluxe/Premier/Ultra New Threads packs.
To those who want to complete the collection (which we’ll get to in a second), some of those pack cards will be required. But for those who don’t want to get the collection or who want to bang out the Program first, the two mini collections above aren’t necessary.
Collection
Much like with other big series in Diamond Dynasty, there are three collection rewards for the New Threads series in MLB The Show 26. Here’s a look at the three cards:

You’ll need eight New Threads cards for Verlander, 17 for Tucker, and 23 for Bo Bichette.

- Mini Seasons 3 (Helsley, Robert Jr., Nimmo)
- Pack: 14 (J. Polanco, Imai, Ward, Gray, Castellanos, Semien, Fr. Valdez, Mullins, Rob. Suarez, Gore, Donovan, McNeil, Ed. Cabrera, A. Garcia)
- Program: 5 (Williams, Lowe, Ran. Suarez, Cease, Alonso)
To get the three cards from Mini Seasons, Diamond Dynasty players will have to score 15 runs with any player (Helsley), strike out nine with Helsley in Mini Seasons (Robert Jr.), and then win 11 games on All-Star difficulty or higher to get Nimmo.
Peralta can be acquired either in the Marketplace or by obtaining 50 Points in the Opening Day Events Program.
