The development team indicated that on June 2, there will be updates to certain players’ likenesses, plus tweaks to player potential. This update, in part, primes the game for that.
Sony also indicated that there will be some aesthetic fixes, including one for the Orioles logo that pops up from time to time, plus a blank Game History tab in Diamond Dynasty that’s been in the title since launch & highlighted in our review.
However, there are no gameplay updates mentioned.
Additionally, there’s also no mention of the Mini Seasons glitch that caused a massive shift in the Diamond Dynasty market over the last weekend. For those unaware, a bug within the World Baseball Classic Mini Seasons became public. The bug allowed players who had completed & won the WBC title to re-enter the game (provided it wasn’t restarted), and then quit out to re-receive all the championship rewards.
On May 31, the Sony team put a Band-Aid on the glitch by replacing the championship rewards for that specific Mini Season with a single Stub reward. That reward remained in place as of this writing.
This update will go live on June 2 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch consoles at 7 AM ET.
