MLB The Show 26 Spring Breakout: Program & collection rewards

Over the course of the final full week of 2026 Spring Training, Major League Baseball will conduct the third installment of the Spring Breakout showcase. And to highlight some of the prospects who will play in the event, the MLB The Show 26 team dropped a new program and collection, featuring a 90 OVR shortstop as the primary reward.

Here are the contents inside the Spring Breakout Program in MLB The Show 26:

10 Points: 88 OVR Seth Hernandez & 1,000 XP
20 Points: Spring Breakout Choice Pack (Pick two of 12, contents can’t be sold)
30 Points: 88 OVR Josue De Paula & 1,000 XP
40 Points: Spring Breakout Choice Pack (Pick two of 12, contents can’t be sold)
50 Points: 89 OVR Ethan Holliday & 1,000 XP

How to make progress

Now, a look at the tasks for the Spring Breakout Program:

Complete five Moments (25 pts. – 5 pts. each)
Missions:
- Tally 20 innings with any starting pitchers (5 pts.)
- Tally 20 hits with any primary shortstops (5 pts.)
- Tally 10 extra-base hits with any primary second basemen (5 pts.)
- Tally 80 total bases with any primary outfielders (LF, CF, RF) (5 pts.)
- Tally 10 hits with any primary catchers (5 pts.)

There’s no skipping around with this one. You’ll have to do the five Moments on veteran difficulty, then grind out the Missions. Make sure to stack a lineup of catchers, second basemen, and outfielders for those who want to do this actively through single-player, which is the most advisable route.

And for those who haven’t completed other programs yet, like the St. Patrick’s Day one, try to stack mission completion on one another by using players that will count towards both.

All three will be required to complete a Spring Breakout-themed collection.

There’s only one collection reward for this series. Collect 16 Spring Breakout series cards to unlock a 90 OVR Konnor Griffin:

Now, to get 16 in total, Diamond Dynasty players will have to accumulate cards from this series throughout the various game modes/packs. Here’s where one can find these cards:

Conquest: 6 (88 OVR Mack, 88 OVR Lombard Jr., 88 OVR Doyle, 88 OVR Emerson, 88 OVR Rainer, 88 OVR Hope)
Events/Marketplace: 1 (89 OVR Leo De Vries)
Packs: 12
Program: 3 (88 OVR S. Hernandez, 88 OVR De Paula, 89 OVR E. Holliday)

Twenty-two Spring Breakout cards exist throughout the mode, meaning you don’t need the 89 OVR Leo De Vries (obtainable through Events that last until 3/25). However, you will need many of the pack cards. Those packs can be obtained through the program and the three USA Conquest Maps.

Additionally, those USA Conquest Maps have two 88 OVR Spring Breakout cards in each one, adding up to six total.

As for the packs, there is a 30,000 Spring Breakout Choice Pack that features sellable cards. You don’t need those cards necessarily, as the no-sell ones via the Program & Conquests will work just as well. Be mindful, as well, that the USA maps can be done repeatedly to get more of those Spring Breakout Choice Packs.
