March 2 began what will be Sony’s final full week to showcase MLB The Show 26 before launch. The publisher started the week by releasing the legends trailer, highlighting the former players who will be in the new game. Aside from familiar names like Ken Griffey Jr. and Mickey Mantle, several Hall of Famers will be brought back to The Show for 2026.

Look at new MLB The Show 26 Legends

The list of new MLB The Show legends includes some Hall of Famers. Red Schoendienst and Phil Rizzuto will be in the game, as will Andruw Jones. Jones will be inducted alongside Jeff Kent and Carlos Beltran, the latter of whom was added to the legends pool in 25, to the Baseball Hall of Fame in July.

Jones isn’t a new legend whatsoever, or at least one who hasn’t been in the game in some time. The former Brave was last in MLB The Show 21.

As far as who else will be in the game, former AL MVP Dustin Pedroia is another headliner. Pedroia was a stalwart of the Red Sox’s infield for over a decade, winning two World Series titles with Boston. He’s also a part of the pantheon of players to be an MLB The Show cover athlete, as he was on it back in 2009.

He’ll be joined by fellow World Series champions Jeff Conine and Dave Roberts, plus ex-Brewer and Met Jeromy Burnitz.

Fred Lynn and Graig Nettles, among the best players in the 1970s, will be in MLB The Show 26.

That group will join the list of players previously announced by Sony throughout the promotion of this year’s game.

Albert Pujols and Felix Hernandez were confirmed during the launch trailer for MLB The Show 26. Roy Campanella is the headliner among the new Negro League players. And on social media in February, former O’s outfielder Adam Jones confirmed that he is back in the game as a new legend.

It should also be noted that there will likely be more additions to the legends pool if history is any indication. Traditionally, Sony likes to hold back one or two big names to announce just before release. That treatment was given to Carlos Beltran and Scott Rolen, the latter of whom was added after MLB The Show 25 was released.
