The 2026-27 LIDOM season is underway, one that could get spicy should MLB lock the players out in December. But until then, this year’s rosters are filled with ex-Major Leaguers, plus several notable prospects.
Águilas Cibaeñas
There is no shortage of Major League talent on Aguilas, which boasts a roster well-fitted with recognizable names.
Adalberto Mondesi (remember him?), Christopher Morel, Ray Delgado, and Victor Scott II are all among notable hitters, with the latter three all seeing time in the bigs this season. For Scott II, this is a big time for him, as he fell in the Cardinals’ depth chart amidst the rise of Nathan Church and Bryan Torres, plus down years at the plate for the speedster.
Mets catching prospect Chris Suero is also on the roster.
As for the pitching staff, Huascar Ynoa, Genesis Cabrera, Joan Adon, and Junior Fernandez are on the Cibaeñas’ roster. Justin Martinez will also have the chance to get some work in. Martinez, who missed most of 2026 recovering from elbow surgery, struck out 18 over 13 innings.
Tigres del Licey
What will Jesús Made do in LIDOM this fall?
The Brewers allowed Made to play in winter ball down in the Dominican Republic, giving the star prospect one more chance to shine in 2026. It was a fantastic season for the teenage infielder, who hit 14 home runs and 44 extra-base hits in a season where he belonged in a league filled with players years older than him.
Emilio Bonafacio, Estevan Florial, Francisco Mejia, Sergio Alcantara, Javy Guerra, and Adonis Medina are among the other blasts from the past on Tigres. Plus, Cubs outfielder Kevin Alcantara will play before what is likely a make-or-break year in 2027.
Leones del Escogido
Like in 2025, Junior Lake, Erik Gonzalez, and Jimmy Paredes are on the Leones’ 2026 roster. Andy Ibanez, who bounced around the Dodgers and Mets in 2026, will also play for Escogido.
The club will also have two notable prospects: Jason Schiavone and John Gil. Schiavone hit 32 home runs across three levels and established himself as one of the top catching prospects in the Houston system. However, he’s a big swinger. As for Gil, the 20-year-old slashed .262/.357/.393 with 14 home runs, 33 extra-base hits, and 60 stolen bases in the Braves’ system.
Alex Colome, Hector Neris, and Luis Guerrero are among the notable pitchers.
Gigantes del Cibao
A trio of standout prospects headlined Gigantes’ 2026-27 roster: Jefferson Rojas, Emil Morales, and Roldy Brito.
Rojas was acquired by the Mets in August. He certainly lived up to the hype, as he belted 12 home runs in his first seven weeks as a Mets prospect. Morales hit 26 home runs between Low-A and High-A, and looks like another blue-chip prospect in the Los Angeles (NL) system. As for Brito, he rolled in the Minors. He finished 2026 with an average over .300, plus 47 extra-base hits in A-ball as a teenager.
Wily Peralta and Hansel Robles headline the pitching staff. As for other notable MLBers, Marcell Ozuna is on the club, as are Deyvison De Los Santos, Noelvi Marte, Nomar Mazara, and ex-Red Aristides Aquino.
Toros del Este
Jesús Sánchez was a bouncing ball in 2026, starting with the Astros, playing most of the year with the Blue Jays, and ending the year with the D-Backs. Now, he’ll look for a fresh start, starting with the Toros in LIDOM.
George Valera and Jhonkensy Noel, once high-profile names in the Cleveland system, are on the 2026-27 roster. Other notables include Enmanuel Valdez, Wilmer Difo, and Pedro Severino.
The pitching staff has some familiar names. Michael Ynoa, who was once a superstar pitching prospect with the A’s, is on the roster. As is Lucas Sims.
Estrellas Orientales
Many former Major Leaguers populate the Estrellas’ roster.
Luis Garcia, who pitched for the Mets and Twins this season, is with Orientales. Diego Castillo and Gregory Santos, as are Magneuris Sierra, ex-Ray Harold Ramirez, 2022 Guardian playoff hero Oscar Gonzalez, and Marco Luciano.
Cardinals catcher Leo Bernal, who hit well in September with the big club after he was promoted, is also with Estrellas.
