After a year of upheaval, the Twins will look to showcase their future in 2026 Spring Training. Minnesota’s list of non-roster players for this upcoming spring includes Walker Jenkins and Kaelen Culpepper, two of the team’s best prospects.

The prospects

The two headliners among the list are Walker Jenkins and Kaelen Culpepper, both former first-round picks for the Twins.

Jenkins, the Twins’ top pick from 2023, posted a .913 OPS in Double-A last season before he moved up to Triple-A. He slashed .242/.324/.396 with two home runs and nine extra-base hits late last season with Triple-A St. Paul.

Even though he missed time due to injury last season, the tools are still very much there. Jenkins is a consistent contact hitter who can also hit power. However, his true game is line-drive contact. Jenkins’ 29.3% LD% was the third-highest in the Texas League last season, behind only Jared Dickey and Ryan Waldschmidt (Waldschmidt is an NRI player for the D-Backs).

Culpepper, as we noted in our 2025 Twins farm review, had a whirlwind season. The former Kansas State star hit 20 home runs and stole 25 bases between High-A and Double-A. Like Jenkins, a consistent contact hitter. However, Culpepper will get on top of baseballs; his GB% in Double-A was a tick under 49%.

Aside from those two, Kala’i Rosario will look to make another strong impression after he powered his way through the Texas League last season.

He’ll be joined by former UConn players Kyler Fedko & Patrick Winkel, Noah Cardenas, Tanner Schobel, Ricardo Olivar, and former first-round pick Aaron Sabato.

Raul Brito, Christian MacLeod, Cory Lewis, and former second-round pick Matt Canterino are among the pitchers who will be with the big club in Fort Myers.

Other notables

Gio Urshela, who will be with Team Colombia during the 2026 World Baseball Classic, was signed to a Minor League deal with an invite to Spring Training. The 34-year-old slashed .238/.287/.326 for the Athletics last season before the team released him in August.

Urshela spent the 2022 season with the Twins.

He’ll be joined by former Oriole David Banuelos and infielder Orlando Arcia, who signed a Minor League deal during the winter.

Pitching-wise, the Twins have some expats from other teams, including former Blue Jays prospect Andrew Bash and ex-Cardinals farmhand Trent Baker. Additionally, three former MLB relievers will look to make the team out of camp. Those pitchers are Dan Altavilla, Matt Bowman, and Grant Hartwig.
