Just one week remains in the 2024 NCAA college baseball regular season, as conference tournaments near. Thus, there’s little room for error for the NCAA’s best. The past week of action saw the UNC Tar Heels and Georgia Bulldogs dominate, and the two moved up significantly in the post-Week 13 college baseball poll.

Troy fell out of the top 25.
In the top 10, North Carolina jumped six points to #6, while Georgia and Wake Forest also moved in.
The Tar Heels had an impressive week at home, defeating Campbell in a mid-week tilt on May 7 before sweeping the Louisville Cardinals. The sweep moved UNC to a 39-11 record in the 2024 campaign.
It was a stellar weekend for Vance Honeycutt, who belted three home runs against the Cardinals. Honeycutt, a likely 2024 first-round pick, leads the Tar Heels in home runs (22) and stolen bases (27).
North Carolina finishes the 2024 regular season with a game against Tanner Thach and UNCW on May 14, followed by three games in Durham against Duke.
Georgia, meanwhile, continued its stellar season this past weekend as the Bulldogs swept the South Carolina Gamecocks. It also proved to be a historic weekend for Charlie Condon, who broke Jac Caglianone‘s record for most home runs during the BBCOR era when he hit his 34th home run on May 10.
However, the star of the week proved to be freshman infielder Tre Phelps, who was named SEC Player of the Week after he tallied four home runs and 19 total bases against South Carolina.
The Bulldogs will finish the regular season with three games against Caglianone and the Gators.
