The start of the 2023 Arizona Fall League

The first day of 2023 Arizona Fall League action is set for October 2, just one day after the conclusion of the MLB regular season. Players will report to the AFL on September 26.

Six teams — the Glendale Desert Dogs, Mesa Solar Sox, Peoria Javelinas, Salt River Rafters, Scottsdale Scorpions, and Surprise Saguaros — will play in the Arizona Fall League. Each team will play 30 games.

Among the notable dates for the AFL schedule are November 3-4 — the dates for the Home Run Derby and Fall Stars Game — and the play-in game on November 10. November 11 is the date of the Arizona Fall League Championship game, which is set to take place at Scottsdale Stadium.

The Arizona Fall League is MLB’s fall league for professional prospects. Traditionally, teams will send a handful of their best prospects to showcase their stuff for scouts, front office executives, and baseball fans.
