After a three-year wait, Super Mega Baseball will receive a fresh look in 2023. Developer Metalhead Software and its owner Electronic Arts confirmed that a new Super Mega Baseball game, entitled Super Mega Baseball 4, will be released on consoles worldwide in 2023. This information was confirmed in May of 2023, months after EA stated that a new edition would be released in its quarterly updates. So, when will Super Mega Baseball 4 be released? Super Mega Baseball 4 Release Date

Release information for Super Mega Baseball (SMB) 4 was released on May 2, just a little under three years since the release of the last edition of the franchise. In the official announcement, Metalhead and EA confirmed that SMB 4 will include cross-play, a large swath of MLB legends of the past, and be released for current-gen (Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5) consoles for the first time.

Additionally, the two parties confirmed that Super Mega Baseball 4 will be released in June of 2023 worldwide. Those who purchase the standard edition ($49.99) of Super Mega Baseball 4 will be able to play the game when it goes live on June 2.

We should note that those who purchase the Ballpark Edition ($59.99) of Super Mega Baseball 4 will be able to receive three days of early access beginning on May 30. The Ballpark Edition, however, is not available for the Nintendo Switch. And for those who have an EA Play subscription, a ten hour trial of Super Mega Baseball 4 will be made available on the 30th, as well.
