The hitters with the two highest OPS figures in the league — Shohei Ohtani (1.066) and Corey Seager (1.013) — were among the 2023 MLB Silver Slugger winners on the American League side.
Seager and 2B Marcus Semien represented the World Series winners, but Texas wasn’t the only team with multiple winners.
The Orioles had two in Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson.
Mariners OF Julio Rodriguez won his second AL Silver Slugger Award winner in his second MLB season. Rodriguez won one last season as a rookie.
National League
And for the National League:
- C: William Contreras (Brewers)
- 1B: Matt Olson (Braves)
- 2B: Luis Arraez (Marlins)

- OF: Ronald Acuna Jr. (Braves)
- OF: Juan Soto (Padres)
- DH: Bryce Harper (Phillies)
- UTL: Cody Bellinger (Cubs)
The Braves had the best offense in the Majors, so it’s not much of a shock that Atlanta had three winners: Matt Olson, Austin Riley, and Ronald Acuna Jr.
Acuna Jr. led the NL in OPS (1.012), while Olson finished second and led the whole league in home runs (54).
Other notable winners included Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, and Cody Bellinger. This is Betts’ sixth Silver Slugger award, while Bellinger won his second as he heads into free agency.
